i guess since you're making the same joke, i'll post my same reply. :laugh

considering the site is barely 24hrs old, I think its quite lively...and for fun points, if you took the number of people surfing this site and compared it to BOTH sections on apriliaforum, i think you'd find there's more people here. :O Not that it really matters in the grand scheme of life, the universe, and everything else.

I don't really know why you are so hostile about this place. I don't really see why as Tuono rider you wouldn't want a site dedicated to the bike you ride and love. And I also don't see why any site has to be mutually exclusive to another, so why this us verse them mentality? If you love apriliaforum, more power to yah, but not everyone keeps to one place, so I don't see anything wrong in merely saying there was a website just for Tuono riders.

Anyhoo, you're more than welcome to frequent here. I wanted to make this site because I love talking about motorcyles. I think Aprilias are sexy bikes, and after seeing both production plants, I can honestly say that I think they could give Ducati a run for their money in the market.

Now that my R1 is pretty much a track only bike, and I haven't been on the street in almost two years...i'm itching for a daily commuter, and the naked bikes are REALLY growing on me. So I have an interest Tuono's, so I'll be hear talking about them regardless. :)

Anyhoo, welcome to the site :cheers I know you're probably only here to give me more of a hard time, or even to start some trouble. I get it, that's fine. You're more than welcome to stay, and you're more than welcome to stay put at apriliaforum. :cheers

Got lonely in here so did some surfing...
Good thing you were trying to rectify that situation then, what with your whopping one post :dunno

j/k man, there's plenty of room on the web for multiple brand-specific forums, and I for one am interested to see where this one, with it's focus being on my actual bike model, goes :yes At a rate of 60-ish new members in like 2 days, this place will be bigger than Facebook in no time :lol

we're on track for about 600 users by the end of the year :)

Guys, his handle is "nobjockey" that should pretty much tell you everything you need to know.

Holy Cow, maybe we should start banning folks, before the Brits invade and ruin this one too :lol

OI YOU B4STARD, that's the sort of thing that will stop this site getting off the ground!
I'm a Brit and was happy with this site until now.
If that is the opinion of the "Super Mod" there is no place for me here.

If I have got this right, I hope this place sinks. And I will be passing this on to everyone I know online.
I'm off back to

http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/index.php

it's a more friendly place. And it's certainly less discriminatory towards us worthless Brits.

It was a joke. There was even a :lol in it.

The UK forum on TLZone is one of the busiest, there are a bunch of UK members on RSVZone. They're great site supporters and users. They must also have thicker skins too :dunno

are you serious? :dowhat surely you got the part where doug is joking :O hell we even have brit mods here :O...and an aussie, and i mean, if we can tolerate thieves from down under, we can find a place in our hearts for anyone. :laugh

Careful, remember where the thieves originally came from :laugh

ohh....right. :blush

either way, maybe it just that people haven't gotten to know each other yet Slug, but I assure you we're Brit friendly...in fact I was expecting this site to be more popular with the Brits than us Yanks. :O

Indeed it is easy to be insulting on the internet and finish it of with a smiley, just as it easy to slander someone in real life and finish it with "allegedly". It doesn't change the percieved intent, it only acts as a defense when someone complains.

Up to you guys, but I just think this site is too young to be insulting (or even percieved as being insulting) towards nations as a whole, especially mine.

I'vw withdrawn my post changes over at AF!'s site but I certainly don't feel comfortable here now.

I think crashtd made a valid point, you only insult people when you know them well enough to get away with it.

mate, if that's what you think is going on then, then hey...you're entitled to your opinion. we're about as easy going of a group of people that you'll find on the internet. I mean, I'm getting blasted over on AF1 for merely saying that there's a Tuono site on the internet, but you know I can at least appreciate the dry sense of humor in it...even if its not meant in the friendliest of ways. Maybe we're too easy going to a fault because, at least in the case with Doug and the rest of the staff we've known each other for like 5 years now, so taking the piss out each other is a daily occurrence (Doug is a fat old guy, and Steve smells of booze and sheeps breath).

i dunno what else to tell yah :O i'm sorry you took offense, but I think you're reading into Doug's post way too far to see any sort of bias or insult. :O

I haven't got a thin skin, but I didn't feel that was a joke in spite of the smiley at the end that acted as a disclaimer.

Anyway, let's move on, and in Dougs case get brain cancer from his job...:lol

I apologise for saying that Doug, it is in no way meant. But you see, the smiley doesn't make it any better. It was a tasteless, unfunny comment that may have been acceptable if I had known you better.

Anyway, you'd better get on with running the new site. I think I'll stay out of the way.
Good luck.

A couple of things I'd like to say. First and foremost I am sorry I insulted you, no excuses, I am sorry.

That said, I was kidding, I had no malicious intent. This place is a bike forum, about bikes, not about bashing folks, I will temper my future comments to ensure I do not cause a problem.

This is the internet, things on it are offensive, I prefer not to have offensive items here, so I will improve what I do.

Thanks for the feedback.

Doug

I'll ride away now..............................

For the record, I am a fat guy, I think Sheep's breath is the wrong end and the brain cancer comment was much worse than mine, but then, I wasn't offended and actually giggled........I would always suggest the "doug" smilie to finish off a good insult :doug

That's better, let's move on.

NOW HEAR THIS....!

Actually i was entertained reading some of these posts... I like humor.. I like humor about a tumor... I like that people have something to "tease" each other with, when the day becomes to borring (which it oftens does).

If nationality is so important to some of these members at this site - why join then?? its obvious that this is an OPEN forum for every nationalities! So therefore ther will always be the same verbal battle about being a brit, or a yank. a Brit, or an Irish. Do some people really think that just because they are outnumbered at a forumsite like this, that every comment that includes a joke which play upon nationality is intended as a sign of "hate" for their country, or nation?? - i dont get it... and you know what i dont care..!

grow up people! (read Slugforabutt)... if you cant sense the ironi of the internal jokes between Doug and Crashtd, and the jokes they post, with the hope that people will regard them as fun... You wont even make it to the mensroom!

Everybody! Have fun!, be tolerant, and remember this is a MC forum, not some diary where 14 yearold girls diss their classmates - Lets have fun and share our passion! the tuono... which this site is perfect for!

Yes, i'm having some trouble with speeling the advanced english word's so i keept them out of the post, therefore my text might be considered at a very simple plan of knowledge... But yeah you should se me in real life!! WHITE AND NERDY...:yes

Löschenkohl thanks for the kind words. I found an interesting post by SlugForAButt, a little ironic in light of his rant above, but I enjoy spotting contrast........and..........he didn't use a smilie, so I can't tell if he is kidding or not :lol

SlugForAButt-Lighten up, this is a joke, I am poking fun at you because you're funny, not because you are British. Have a nice day.

I'm guessing we're all a little new at the moment.
So... just a big HELLOto everyone. And don't get upset if I speak crap sometimes, I have a tendancy to type when I'm pissed. And no offence is ever intended.
