hello minions

I'm getting out on my gen 2 about once a week, although I do turn the bike over and let it get upto temp 2 to 3 times a week while its on the stand in the garage.

When I set off into the sunset for a quick blast, I've noticed that engaging 1st gear in and out can feel a bit notchy, a bit sticky. This is only for the first few miles then all seems good once warmed up.

Is this just down to the box being cold or sommet or is it about to make me much lighter in the paper department:crazy.

I've noticed this on a few occasions but cant remember if its always been like that. Ok minions give me the verdict, i'm sat down and ready:dunno.

Thanks Ash and GF, my boll**ks, are slowly sinking back down my throat back into place. I'll keep a eye on it. Phew.:cheers.

Aye mucker, mine jumps and clunks a fair wee bit until it's warmed up.

Personally I think it's down to the clutch and oil not being up to temp.

BTW every bike I've owned,,,,,,,,,old and new has done this. :yes

My old Honda is great, no clonks even when cold.

If some manufacturers can sort this why can't the others.

I agree, it's a combination of cold oil, clutch and poor design.

On some old British bikes, they used to pull the clutch in when kicking it over. This had the effect of freeing the clutch plates and getting some oil circulating.

Not an option on a t though.
