Completely, utterly PHENOMENAL !! :doug:doug:doug
My new beast was finally delivered today, after biting my nails pretty much down to my elbow, and WOW, what can I say ??...............
WHAT A BIKE ! I absolutely LOVE this thing. The looks, the power, the handling, the braking (apart from the back brake LOL), the sound...............everything comes together on this bike as an amazing package. :thumbup
The blo*dy thing is absolutely ballistic, with masses of torque, and the handling and balance is absolutely beautiful. Hell...........the thing is even comfortable, despite me thinking it would be some sort of torture-chamber toy, after sitting on it in the shop last Sunday, but when you`re on the move, I find the riding position just perfect for my (shortish) 5`9 frame, with the stretch to the bars putting your weight just nicely over the front, but without crippling your wrists, and the footpegs again being just right without inducing leg-cramps.
Okay, I have to be honest here (although I think I`ve said already in my other thread :devious), that I`ve had an enforced 5 year break from bikes, so probably anything with any sort of serious(ish) power was going to feel quick, but the RSVR definitely feels quicker than my last bike, which was a 2000 Fireblade. It`s got to be down to all that torque ?
Bad points: Nothing to mention really, apart from the infamous back-brake, although the front is so good anyway, that the back`s almost redundant, and the heavy clutch, maybe, but I just need to toughen up my clutch-hand, and things`ll be fine........! :thumbup
In short; what a fantastic bike, and one which I hope to own for quite some time now......
