Not happy - Royal Mail

A few weeks ago, Oli on here kindly offered to send me an offcut of carbon vinyl to do my clocks. Today, I get the empty envelope in a plastic bag through the door, as per photo. So, basically looks like Royal Mail have 'lost' it :dunno

Now what?

That's ridiculous Rich mate, get on the phone and go ballistic!! Tell them it's unacceptable and you want refunded for the (££££) of the item and the time wasted on ordering a replacement!!!

Unless it was sent signed for/recorded/insured, I suspect you won't be getting much from them.:jack

If it was posted as a normal letter it will be difficult to prove what was in the envolope and what the value of the item was, i wish you luck with gettin anything out of them

Always post items like this over the counter and get a reciept, you are then covered by a 30quid insurance, and if its worth 100quid then you can up the insurance to cover it and it only costs a few pence.

All items sent 1st class carry an included insurance of £36 wether recorded or not.

In this case as Royal Mail have accepted responsibilty you don't need to go ballistic, just call the number given and explain all, they will send you a form (or you can collect one from the po) and they will refund you upto £36.

You will need a recepit from Oli to show it was worth something.

As for asking for compensation for time ordering another one you aint got a chance in hell. Royal Mail do not accept responsibilty for this at all.

contact royal mail, i had a few of these turns out someone was nicking things from the sorting office!, he is presently on awaiting trial. Let them know incase someone else is getting ripped off.

Rich mate a certain myhomedelivery have just lost an ipod touch for me! And getting nowhere fast with them! Twats!
