???not going smooth through the powerband????

I was on my way to work tonight after getting a new battery:inlove(YTX14BS) and while I was under way on the Autobahn, my girl was not responding as smooth when I was twisting my wrist.

I am having a little issue of the bike being slow to respond and go smooth through the lower part of the powerband (2-3k rpm's), when I try to get up on it. :rant

its almost being slow like something is restricting the engine:angry, but by 4-5K rpm's, she breathes normal and has great power, but before that it seems like she cant breathe.:pirate

and its feels like it's in every damn gear while I was on the autobahn, I was thinking I just needed to blow out the fuel injectors and run her hard for a minute or so, but I am not sure if that helped or hurt.

anyone got an idea, cause I am not the smartest about everything with bikes. thanks in advance.:thumbup

Sounds like the throttle bodies and CO2 need setting up correctly as poor slow running is the symptoms for this.

Also as you've just fitted a new battery check the battery connections are correct and tight as a loose battery connection will cause the bike to cut out momentarily

i checked the terminals like you said, they are tight and clean, i will run it by the aprilia shop this week and ask if they can help me, of course they can help me, for the right price....*******s!

is this something i can do myslef with time and the manual? re-setting the throttle bodies and CO2??

no you need an exhaust gas analyser to set balance the throttle bodies via the exhaust gas mixture.

I just had it done at the weekend and it took half an hour or so.

i assume the aprilia shop can hook that up, damn i should have gone to motorcycle school

i was thinking of a 12 pack of beer, hammer and on allen wrench should do the trick then.

i will check out the shop tomororw and see how much it will cost
