HELP!!!
I have an RSVR, 05 plate, gen2 and for reasons best known to itself, it now does not seem to be producing a spark. I was out and about on it all day Friday, stopping and starting at various points, and on my last trip(to Tesco's!) would not start when I went to leave. Everything works when ignition is turned, fuel pump whirs, lights, dash all ok, even turns over but no spark. I have tested the continuity of all the wires (as far as I can tell) and there doesn't even seem to be any power even getting to the coil pack. Checked the usual suspects like side stand switch, kill switch, previous wiring repairs (soldering) etc and yes, I have checked all the fuses. It has a new battery on it (which is now fully re-charged). Can anyone suggest anything that would cause this? I am stuck.

Cheers

Looks like you have found the reason it is not starting. Now you just need to breakout the wiring diagram and trace it back to where there IS power in the circuit.

I don't have a Gen2 diagram in front of me, but maybe I can locate one and give you a hand.

In the meantime, if it is anything like the Gen1, you may have a look at the ENGINE STOP relay. The power for the coils goes through that relay.
