Came out this morning and the ***** wont start!
Change battery, still no luck. Tank up, plug out no apparent spark!
Any ideas?
Also any easier way to remove front plug that does'nt require limitless patience (something I don't posess)

So give us a clue then,..............Gen1 or Gen2?
Does it do anything at all?
Battery voltage ok?
Fuel pump running?
Engine turn over?
Just no spark?
Kill switch on?

I'm dumb, but not that dumb!
Battery ok , NOT, I repeat, NOT the kill switch.
Its an 03, so Iguess that makes it a Gen 1.
Fuel pump ok. Just no spark.
Diagnostics (once I found the connectors) shows 1. I just came in to try to thaw out and find out if just meant fk'd
Any suggestions gratefully received

You'd be suprised how many overlook the kill switch.:yes

Bike in neutral?
Neutral light on?
Side stand switch making contact?
Relay under the seat working?

yes
yes
as far as I can tell
yes

Am now frozen and have lost the will to live.
Will try again tommorrow
Now I think the only answer is beer!

what voltage is the battery dropping to on crank? mine refuses to fire up repeatedly if it drops to anything below about 10.8v (just done it on me this morning.. new battery too.. you really need to keep the batteries on these things in tip top condition)

Think you could be right there as the ***** fired up ok on Sunday after 24 hours on charge.
I keep the thing on an Optimate when parked but it has been bloody cold here this week.
So I'll put it back together again and keep the batteries (both of them) on charge and keep my fingers crossed.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

aye.. they don't make a single attempt if they aren't getting enough juice.. might be worth upgrading to the 100amp starter solenoid aswell in order to give the starter a bit more kick.. came recommended me by a mate so i have one enroute..

i have a funny feeling it was the cold that killed my battery aswell you know =\
