Hi All,

Well the bike has been running great no problems at all untill today. I went out for a ride and the first time i went to open it up when i got out of town there was no power, it stuttered upto 5k then as i opened the throttle it just bogged down with the air box noise as if sucking in lots of air. Then it would surge and accelerate but feeling very down on power.
The only thing different this week is i filled it with standard unleaded instead of the V-Power as they had run out, but was running fine.

According to one site here in Finland, there are several possible causes:

- You may have water in your tank (clogged hole under the tank cap)
- Problems in fuel delivery (clogged filter/pump in poor condition/leaks in the fuel hoses inside the tank)

What year is the bike? Gen 1 or 2?
Have you checked the stator wiring, the brown connector that are prone to resistance when they get old and corrosion builds up. They are prone to melting. Makes it feel gutless and gets worse till it stops.

Well, i decided yesterday to give the bike a good going over and did the plugs and air filter then checked as much wiring as i could. It is a Gen 2 and the brown connector on the stator was corroded or showing early signs on a couple of pins. Took apart and cleaned now bike running fine again, will keep posted on if it's a long term fix. So thanks wigginsjp.

Also try holding the headlamp flash button in and as you hold it turn on the ignition. Don't start it it but just continue to hold the headlamp flash button in for at least 15 seconds. If there is an error code it will show as a number in the water temp field.
Try that too.
