no more glasses

anyone wear glasses? i did, always steaming up when its cold moving around in my helmet pissing me off, can't see the beach when i go for a swim and all that. well i finally had laser eye surgery yesterday,bloody horrible experience they feel alright now though can't wait to ride my bike without specks on,with my luck i'll probably get a meat fly straight in a mile down the road. heres to no more steaming up:cheers

Could you give more details of the end to end process? Ive been realy tempted to get this done myself but dont really know much about it. Did it cost much?

well one of my friends had it done and she was fine said there was nothing to it so i thought if a girl can do it so can i, lol. all i did was go on the ultralase web site and book a free consultation were they test your eyes to see if your compatable for treatment. it's all about reshaping your cornea.the treatment all depends on your prescription everyones diffrent as does price mine cost £2232 for both eyes while my friends was £1800. the treatment itself was fine a little frightening someone cutting your eye with a laser but no pain at all and was all over in about 15 mins. my eyes were really sore for a few hours after like someone had poked me in them but this is normall and there fine now just a little gritty,and you have to put drops in every 2 hours for 48hrs which i'm crap at most of it runs down my face. i'm really glad i had it done no more specky **** jibes! go and have a consultation see whats what you won't regret it.........

The wife had it done a couple or three years ago..£2500 best thing she ever did she recons :thumbup although she gets the "halo effect" on a night she says it's worth every penny. I had a consultaion myself which would have been £2000 but maybe another time before i have it :biggrin

Why the hell would I want not to wear specs when people say that about me? LOL

Do they wear glasses themselves :doug

Not everyone can do this. My corneas are too thin and there is a chance of big problems. I won't be doing it until the next great medical breakthrough. I really would like to do away with the specs.
