Hi guys. Its a long time since I was a newby anywhere. I've just bought a 2000 model RSV in yellow. Got it from fleabay. I'd been watching it for a few days then stepped in and snapped it up. I'm really chuffed as I've been after one for ages.

Anyhoo, I thought I'd pop in and say hello so... Hi!:ytiller

Learner version? Sounds good. Only been riding 20 odd years! Good job I don't take offence easily, but then the first comment was from a porridge-wog so I suppose you have to take the rough with the smooth!!

Welcome mate. Classy screen name - you'll be burning off some TVRs on your new bike then:devious

The screen name comes from a former employment.

TVR's - pah! Blew one of them away on an SV650!! Overrated, under engineered pieces of 5hit.

If I was going to be spending that sort of money on a car then I'd have to spend a bit more and get an Aston Martin DB9.

Getting back to my new bike...

I'd been wanting a Mille for ages but I had to sell my ZZR1100 first. That happened last Wednesday so I had cash on the hip to go and buy something. I'd seen this one on fleabay - W plate, 14.6k on the clock, totally standard apart from an accumen gear change indicator. Immaculate condition for the year and up for grabs for £1695 on a classified ad. I duly ring the guy up and find he's a long way from me - I'm in Gloucestershire, he's in Sheffield. So I ask him what he'll take for it and he says £1450. Anyway, trying to play it cool I tell him I need to HPI it and I'll get back to him.

I got back from Sheffield at 8.30 last night the proud owner of said bike plus a scrubbed in set of RennSports, a Blue Flame Evo stubby can, pillion seat and grabrail and a paddock stand.

Don't care what anyone says about the colour. Black ones are like arseholes. Everyone has one. Yellow Milles are for the more discerning amongst us - the connoisseur, if you will. :fooku:sarcasm

Welcome mate you are right about the black ones plus the silver ones are the fast ones yellow is second so you are not far off:thumbup:banana:nana
