Just joined folks as ive sold my blade and bought me a mint 2001 yellow mille.

Im in Cheshire, North West UK.

Totally stock but not for long, so im open to any suggestions. Cant wait for the snow to melt away so i can actually get out on the damn thing. :thumbup

Pictures to follow. Cheers

Welcome to the forum Jarvis, good choice of bike i'm sure you will love it. As for mods there is so much you can do, first thing to do is change the gearing if not already done to 15-44. This makes it alot smoother lower down and will pull like a train, then the list is endless.:thumbup

welcome to u matey. good thing about the mille is there is a load a mods available. nice zorst and chip to match would be a great start I believe. a member by the name of dr rossi can sort u right out with a chip. did i mention an open airbox? I could go on....

Cheers folks, i have been reading all the posts and before i try anything i need to get a decent set of rubber on there as the back wheel is square! Any views on the new Maxxis? Ive always favored Bridgestones.

I will check for the usual airbox restriction and Ecu wire tomorrow.

I have never used Maxxis, but all the reports I have seen are always good and for the price you cant go wrong:thumbup

alright dude!!

if guy martin reckons there ok then i'd try em!!

wanna go for some bridgestones next though......what you been using mate?? any good??

welcome BTW

Just wondered if you might have been down the Chester end,I'm in N Wales so thought you might have been a regular at the Ponderosa or Betwse-y-coed in the summer.

Yeah i went down ponderosa a few times but mainly up to settle and devils bridge area, north wales police are a pain in the a**e. oh and by the way im a Jock not a scouser lar.

I'm not Welsh either :nana I'm a relocated ' lager swilling southern softie'

Hear what you're saying about our local plod, fortunately since that **** Brunsrum retired and took his ***** deputy with him things have improved greatly in that respect.

Have to say though that if you chose the right time and place for a spirited ride then there was very little chance of a pull even with Brunstrum in charge.

None of the guys I ride with ever had any hassle from them ,but some of the tourists? seemed to treat the place like open practice on the mountain section. Used to frighten the life out of me,never mind Joe Public out for a sunday bimble with his family in the car.

Have see how things are in the summer with Mr Polin in charge.
