Newbie with a couple questions

Hi

Just bought a 2003 tuono (which is my 1st)

First off I went out on it for the 1st time yesterday, when I set off everything was in mph, when I looked at the bike when buying it was in mph then when I turned it back on yesterday lunch time having stopped for a break it was in km?? Anybody tell me how to put it back in mph?

Secondly as its my 1st tuono and in actual fact my 1st twin is there any must do mods on the tuono? (My bike at the mo is completely standard)

The screen will change back to factory default if the power is low, ie, when you crank the engine over and the battery is not 100%
On a gen1, it will be because the battery is probably not in the best of health, or the starter solenoid is maybe a little tired.
Do a search and the method of changing the read out will be apparent. Nice choice of bike, intro needs a little work tho'

Beefier starter solenoid (R1 one on mine), better battery for starters.

Then change the gearing to 16/44, decent rubber and that'll do you.
