have just purchased a 2000 rsvr with a few mods (that i know of) evo airbox, pc3 usb, 57mm th boddies?? braded hoses, only pain 2200 for the bike..im striping it down and wondering what chip i have in there it says MS 400 st9922e, is this the standard chip? any info would be greatly received...thanks guys :dowhat

Hello mate, sounds like a quality bike, component wise at least! I wouldn't worry about the chip, probably is standard but the PC III takes care of all that instead anyway, unless the chips give a different advance curve to the ignition, but fuelling wise it will be sorted.
PS Welcome, I'm new to these too!

thanks for the reply, been riding a zx636r scrunched up like a tree frog, hear nothing but good things about the rsv carnt wait to ride the thing..got a lot of learning to do

No worries. If you're anything like me and a typical brit bloke not the jap size intended to fit their bikes, then you'll feel much more at home on the RSV. I'm 6ft and 15 stone odd and I think this is the best fitting sportsbike I could hope for.
I've had mainly Hondas before this and a mixture of V4's and inline 4's, my last bike being a 99 FireBlade, so the V-Twin thing is very different but good. It is going to take a fair while while to adjust the brain to the engine and low speed handling, but it all seems to work above 50mph.
Enjoy and add your location to your profile.

not sure on that chip to be honest
can ya get a pic of it?

Yep pc will look after fuelling but some chips have different advance
A gabro can be mapped to the spec of parts u use
Some chips don't allow for the trimpots to be set up when trying to set the bike up

Welcome oli..enjoy that RSV
wanna sell those 57s :D :pirate
Is the bike still 998? or has it been taken out do you know?
Cheers..welcome to the zone
