please help

I've always used Silkolene comp 4 fully synthetic in all my Aprilias but you'll get mixed reviews on the fully vs semi debate. It's never caused me any problems. eBay for spares. Most of the shops are on there so you'll probably be buying from one of the big accessory places anyway. Anything you can't find there's always your local Aprilia stealer.

Do a forum search on oil change it's not as straight forward as an inline 4. There's a good tutorial over at AF1

There's screen posts somewhere but In my opinion the Ermax ones are the best alternative, they are reasonably high and look good too. I'll try & find a pic. Buy diresct from Demon Tweeks for about £45.00 including delivery. there have been some who have reported paying about £60.00

I'll try & find the previous thread to save hassle.

Kriton min...4.8K on a 04 plate sounds like its barely been run in yet! Ahm assumin yiv got a Gen1 Tuoldo. Changin the oils a dawdle. Ye jist neeed tae drain the oil tank as as well as the sump.

Get yersel a basin that will hold min 4 litres , Remove the oil tank drain and let it empty oot. Replace the drain plug ( mind and dinnae over tighten it.) Next remove the sump drain plug. This located just in front of the oil filter cover on the left of the bike ( below yer gear change lever) . Let this drain oot.. The filter is located under the wee cover next door tae it. Remove the screws then the cover and replace the filter. Replace everything as ye found it.

When refilling the oil up do watch ye dinnae over filled it as its very easily done.

I put a bit of emergency car oil in the bike as it wasn't showing anything at all. Seems to run fine. Semi synthetic is semi synthetic and sone oil is better than no oil at all.

Should have checked it before Iwent out as I have the right oil in the garage. Oops

I may have a problem with fuel consumption, but what do you do with your oil Bay. Drink it or what.

Car stuff won't hurt the engine but it won't do your clutch any favour's if used to often

It only took a little bit to get it back up to correct level. Was an emergency thing.
Had it serviced last year with gilo rode home and never really checked it Mick. Never used oil before and I've had it over 2years. Now it's up to level I'll keep an eye on it. There's no puddles on the floor.

U know me I don't get to ride it much so just assumed after service it'd be up to right level

I remember now, It was brake fluid you had to get last time we were out. Lost my clutch reservoir cover on Sunday, Don't know whether it had been tampered with or wether it may have vibrated loose. Could have been that Lewis never tightened it properly after changing the fluid when it was serviced.

£18.00 for a CNC Oberon one or £13.00 for an O/E plastic one. Where do they get that from no more than a milk bottle top.

No mate clutch fluid. Just hadnt been filled enough at the service they gave it before I bought it (if they'd serviced it at all)
