Afternoon all, new to the forum and to Aprilia ownership.
Jusat bought a low mileage 2008 RSV1000 Bol D'or replica, been after one for a while.
The colours remind me of Loris Regianni (one for the older members)

Any tips for improving the bike?
I've noticed it's a pig to get into neutral when stationary, I am looking at improving the slave cylinder for one of the German ones?
Is this a worthwhile upgrade?
I'm also looking for better looking, but road legal, CF silencers.
Any tips?

Cheers for any advice.

Hi with regards to road legal cans, I have fitted some Mivv GP exhausts and they sound awesome!!! Top tip though leave the baffles in or they are toooooo loud!!!!

I have arrow pipes which sound lovely and an Oberon clutch slave both excellent upgrades on the originals and well worth doing

Ah, thanks for the Oberon recommendation :thumbup
They seem cheaper than the other make I saw mentioned, although I can't remember their name!
The Oberon seems to be under £100.00, whereas the other make were £150.00

problem, I think the German ones are mpl or something similar. I paid £89 for it direct from Oberon in red looks really nice and works well no problems after 2 years

What difference do you get from fitting the Oberon from the original????
And are they easy to fit???

I've ordered a gold Oberon slave, cheers for the tip.
Can't decide on cans though.
I really want carbon fibre, but crikey they're expensive!!! :dowhat

No problem mate, I liked the look of carbon too but got these titanium arrows off of someone on here for 250 couldn't let them go for that price plus I've heard that these rotax engines can shatter carbon cans better to get Ali or ti with a sleeve.

I had to replace my slave as it was knackered so I thought I may as well upgrade. The action seems slightly easier although I use short levers so it is still quite stiff. It looks ace in red against black bike. It's fairly straight forward to fit just the usual pain of bleeding out but you get good at that having a mille

I'm hoping the Oberon reduces lever pressure a bit, but I'm also hoping it makes my bike easier to get into neutral while running.
It is impossible at the moment, umpteen people have tried and failed!:confused
The dealer is blaming clutch drag, I'm hoping the Oberon solves the issue.

It does seem a common problem although some bikes seem a lot worse than others. Hope you get it sorted mate
