Hi guys first of all just wanna say hi to all I'm George and just joined I picked up a rsvr 04 the other day :) was a proud moment was lol

After a 2 hour ride was sweet as a nut the has I was dropping down the gears pulled in the clutch it cut out, would not start again just kept clicking so my thought flat battery? So charged up fired no prob yay :)

Then after a 15min ride it kept cutting out at junctions etc every time I had to dip in the clutch the go idle?

It has had a new sprag clutch and battery.

Any thoughts?
 
Welcome, what exausts have you got and what map is it on.I had the same problem when down shifting it was cutting out. Let me know the above I might be able to help you out.
 
Hiya dog78 thank you it's has akrapovic end cans and I believe the guy said its been mapped for them?
 
I have got a factory 2005 and had the same problem, although it was on map 2 for the Akrapovics the base map was wrong get a revised base map you will be ok.
If you live anywhere near GRIFF Aprilia performance go to them or to your nearest Aprilia dealer. I also run Akrapovics, anyway get it done and you will be fine.
 
Damn their in Tamworth [emoji53] I'm in Surrey will have to find somewhere that can do it.
 
I think there is a place in Bracknell or Croydon give them a bell. Mine always done it when it was warm and when I was slowing down blipping the throttle.
Phone Griff at Aprilia performance and he will give you advice and what map to ask for. He is a Top man and very helpful and l can't thank him enough for his help with my build.

Rsvr2004 , I just noticed you are in Surrey !!...... So am I , if you ever fancy going for a ride with another RSV owner give me a shout !! ����
