Hi all. My name is Steve
Should be picking up my haga rep (#30) within the week. Its done 14k, vgc and comes with spare fairings, all the pillion bits and a mille bike cover.

Cant wait! I`m giving the chap 3300, that seem reasonable to you guys?

My previous bikes have been 2 RS125`s which taught me to ride and how to get my knee down. Then an RVF 400 which I loved, and used to ride everyday. It then became my trackbike for awhile and is still in the back of my mums garage, looking abit sorry for itself after an off. After the RVF was an RF900 streetfighter I built, then an 01 R1. Then an 02 R1 which I put about 16k on an took to france twice and round brands indy once. I Part ex that for an 08 R6 as I fancied a newer generation bike. But its abit whiney and souless and too much effort to enjoy on the road, and dont do enough track to justify having it. so.....V-TWIN time! :thumbup

welcome,I'm sure you'll enjoy your v twin a lot more than the the il4's,massive grin factor...

cheers Pat! yeh I`m sure I will. was planning on getting a scruffy one funnily enough, just as a grin. But when I test rode one I just feel in love with it and had to have a nice one. Gonna be a pride of ownership factor I think :D

Quick question, being a haga rep does it have the 57mm throttle bodies standard do you know? or is that just the 03 edwards rep?? Cheers!

heres some info for you

Aprilia has announced the introduction of limited edition motorcycles, the RSV Mille R - Haga Replica.

Top Distinction: only 300 units worldwide limited edition with only 60 slated for US delivery ensures top collectors value, and a phenomenal presentation to further stand out from the crowd.
Built on the class-leading RSV 1000 Mille R platform.
Fairing graphics faithfully duplicated from WSB- Spec RSV 1000 Mille SP Superbike - complete with Haga racing numbers
Blue anodized Ergal top triple tree with "Noriyuki Haga" inscribed signature + production identification serial number + inscription "SBK REPLICA RSV 1000 R"
Aprilia Engine Department developed dual-sided Akrapovic TITANIUM exhaust and stainless steel collectors+ EPROM specifically designed for this exhaust system
Building on the already class-leading performance of the Mille R, the Haga Replica sees a 10 hp increase at 6.500 rpm, and a flatter power curve, over 9.000 rpm with the installation of the competition-grade Akrapovic Exhaust system. Torque is greatly increased with torque curves reaching optimal values 1700 rpm earlier than the standard motor.
6.6 lb weight decrease with the Akrapovic Exhaust system installed (with respect to a standard RSV R) and more equal lateral balance (also thanks to the double and not single exhaust).
Top quality components from RSV 1000 R carry-over, including the Carbon body panel inserts and fenders, Brembo 4 pad calipers, Öhlins suspension and steering damper
Full rear subframe reduces cost to add optional Bi-Posto kit to only $297.95. (Part # HAGAPEG)
The 2003 RSV 1000 Mille R Haga Replica: World Superbike technology and imagery, in a single value-packed performance package.

It was a standard one that convinced me to buy! :D

Thanks for the info rrb. So its got a full system standard as standard then. So looking to the future, is it common just to get some 04 57mm`s and stick them on? I hear the most common mille mod is the gearing? I`ll have to get mine and take stock what has already been done I guess!
Cheers

the CER 57 TBs and CER chip worked fantastic on my 02 CF mille, straight swap too, took mine too 126 bhp.
16/42 gearing with STANDARD chain(nice short wheelbase!!!), is a great mod for fast road etc, put the revs where you want them, that and an open airbox is all you really need.

Ah gotcha. Also I was thinking, spare Edwards rep TB`s and chips cant be easy to come by can they?? I thought they were even rarer than the haga!?

Reckon the first thing I`ll do is the gearing, cheap and cheerfull! Thats is if its not already done. I`ll have a tooth count when I pick it up!

Got it :biggrin

Damn its pretty!

But for some reason doesnt seem as brutal as the regular RSV I test rode :dunno
The Guy I got it from had spent ***** loads on it, big service file etc, but I was expecting it to be more brutal than the one I tested. What with having The full system, chip, and the lighter wheels, what gives?? :dowhat Perhaps the one I tested had the gearing you suggested??

It runs smooth, starts first time, sounds lovely. The guy who had it before me didnt really cain it at all, am thinking maybe it just needs a good thrashing. My first R1 was like that, the guy just commuted on it and it was really sluggish, every month I had it it got faster and faster....so we shall see, Got it home late last night and got a stinking cold so only had a brief test ride near the guys house to check the box, and engine for noises etc.

Also looking through the history, the owner before the last guy was a lady! And theres a reciept for 17 tooth front sprocket (I read the haga had a 16 front as standard) Perhaps this was to make it abit more manageable? I`ll have a proper look today and see what I can find... Apparently its got a standard air filter, dunno if aprilia took into account the full system and chip when desiging it??? questions questions, opinions welcome :thumbup :devious

Go for a kn straight swap or one of crackin aftermarket ones that are doing the rounds on here..

Wont that run it too lean if aprilia took those mods into account as they came standard? I`v got a little black padded case within a blue card case which says SBK Replica on it. But inside is a chip with a yellow sticker on saying RP58, which from what I understand if for the dustbin exhaust, so guessing it has the SBK chip in it.
