hi all. just signed up today
i currently have a zx7r which is fantastic, but!!.... i'v fallen in love:love2 with the 04 rsv1000, just the sound and looks, i need one. So saving up to get one (girlfrien not very happy).

just wondering if any one can give me some advice on one. just things like reliability, servicing, are they user friendly, are they on a cam chain, when do you have to change it.
my mates sp1 shakes it head as soon as you give the throttle a sniff, told him rear shock to hard, but wont listen:jack. whats suspension like?

cheers all

Greetings sean
reliability-no probs
servicing-i tend to do small bits meself,,,BUT, i have just changed my oil and it cost me £5.03 for a genuine aprilia filter, which i thought was good...
user friendly-well i think so ,no probs with head shaking at all...

only probs are most say back brake is *****,
and neutral is a pig to find...

But i am sure i speak for most peeps on here in saying the bike as a whole more than makes up for a few little glitches...:thumbup

cheers,

will do think 4500 will get a good 2004 machine. is the power easy to use cmpared to my 7r, which gets pillaged every use, with no rear wheel spin at all

sean

Welcome sean,

The bike is unbelievable, great to ride and the head is solid, power is great and there is no change down needed to leave people on jap crap standing as they go for the clutch to change down..... you will not regret it at all.... i am sure others will back me up on that....
