Hi everyone and thanks for the add.

Joined the forum to seek informed information on the Capo1200. Looking at a possible change of bike and the Caponord is starting to come to the top of the list. I am after something comfortable solo and two up which can cover plenty of ground......but a full in tourer is not for me.
Having owned Suzuki GSX1400's for 15 years with zero issues I am slightly nervous of going Italian mainly due to tales of woe from days gone by.

So is there anything I shiuld know and be looking out for, what goes wrong, whats good about the Capo. I have heard the fuel consumption is abysmal which could be an issue as I am used to an easy 200 mile tank range on the 1400.

Any advise much appreciated.

Hi Spike

Have had my Capo for just on a year...almost 10 000km (I've done more mileage on my bike than in my car...go figure?).
Most of it done with my missus on the back. I average around 370km per tank...not too bad and a very handy touring range.

I'm happy with the bike...still a bit snatchy on the throttle at low speeds but I've found it to be an awesome tourer and very nimble in traffic. I am 6'6" so enjoy the high saddle. So far, no issues except for an oil leak from one of the valve covers which was promptly sorted by my very excellent dealer. This seems to be the main gripe...finding a suitable dealer for after sales service.

Thanks for the reply.
Even on our small isle the dealer network isn't great so I suppose thats something I need to think about.
