Welcome to the forum mate, I'm old and useless! :roll

Have a look in the file vault, you'll find manuals in there that tell you everything you ever dreamed of. :thumbup

Look at the top of your screen for it, top right that is.

Strange to tell, but the best thing for shifting handlebar grips is hair spray (not something I've been worried about these last twenty years :eek:h)

I makes everything moveable while it's volatile and then dries to an almost glue-like state. Just what's needed for this application. Just prise the grip off the throttle a little bit and squirt some in!

iv just done mine about 1hr ago... i stuck the whole new throttle grip/plastic in very hot water for 10 mins too make the rubber more pliable then i pulled the new rubber grip off the new plastic body... i then just cut the old grip off with pen knife... leave it all connected up & on the clip on... no need to remove/disconnect anything other than the bar end... then re-boiled the new grip again to get pliable... then make sure the grip slats are lined up especially the 2 slats by the throttle cable end that pops over the lip... then slipped the new grip over the old throttle plastic body... dont twist it on... keep it straight as you push/pull it on !! :)

only took 10mins !! :)

I slide cable ties through the grip and then slide it all over the bar without the friction inside the grip rubbing on the bar. Pull each cable tie out and hey presto the grips on with no fuss.

What a cracking idea :thumbup 'The appliance of science' as some advert once said.

That's one to remember, thanks
