hi all im after some new tyres at the mo its on 190.50.17 rear dunlop sportmax but i think there **** i may go for 180.55.17 but what makes the best i ride mostly for fun fast but now and then use it for work so dont want super soft but grippy can anyone help cheers guys.

don`t know about the best most will tell ya it`s a personal thing you like or you don`t like , just been through this myself and got some diablo`s from M&P
150 quid inc delivery :thumbup

michi road 2;s bud, there grippy enough, great in the wet and last for ages.

I've gone to Pirelli Corsa III 190/55, loads better than the 180/55 I took off :thumbup

:hmm2:Nooooooooooooo another tyre thread.

Seriously though mate theres so manny to choose from. :dunno

Me personally though cannot get on with dunlops, hate em but mates of mine love em and say the new qualifier 2's are ace:dunno

I'm a michelin convert, 2CT's for me now:inlove First tried them on me R1 having been recommened by me bro, just put some on my RSV and they are absolutely bloody fantastic. I run a 190 rear if that helps. Loads of grip and bags of confidence, warm up quick and reports of 4000 miles out of a rear can't be bad. :doug

Personal preference mate, but got Pirelli Supercosa's on and they are awesome. Metzeler Racetec are a good bit if rubber too, but stick with the 190's.

i had some of the new avon vp2 supersports on my rsv just before i sold it. i wanted 2ct's but my tyre fitter didn't have any left and told me how good these new avons were (also dual compund) so gave them a try. just as good as 2ct's but a few quid cheaper

Just put on 190 55 17 Supercorsa Pro SC1 Transformed the bike I only put on because of track use. Pilot Road 2ct are under rated you can push hard and last realy well, dont think they come in 190 55 which the powers 2ct do though.

Michelin comes in road pilots 2, power pilots and some other. I personally run road pilots 2 and I have done 15000 miles on the front and 6500 on the rear, with plenty of meat left, and no, I am not a vicar....

Michelin 2CT's or Bridgestone BT016's are the favourites but don't discount the Super Maxxis see here for deals - Click Me read some good reports on them.

I am new to Aprilias, this is my first big v twin and now with pilot road 2CT,s I love it even more (with a 180 rear).
Is this a great site or what?
Just my opinion.
cheers

for road riding I go for conti sport attack

These are a tyre I would like to try, do you need to run them at about 40 psi?

There seems to be alot more variants in tyre pressures between brands/compounds now which would have effect on tyre wear/performance and if not set correctly would sway peoples opinion on tyre.

not tried them on the aprilia yet but had Conti Road Attacks on my Gixxer when I did a 2 week Norway tour..... they were great in the wet and dry and very sure footed even on all the hairpins!!!:nana

The missus likes Avon Storm Attack for winter riding.
