Hey guys it's been a while since I posted but I need some advice was wondering if you lot could help. I'm after a new set of tyres front and rear and was looking at the michelin pilot power 3's. My bike is my toy and doesn't really tend to get wet I don't tent to do to many motorway miles and would much rather have the extra dry grip what does every one else use. And it goes with out saying I'm looking at duel compound. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. cheers

Metzler M7RR's are winning all the tyre tests just lately. Judging by the M5's I'm running they should be great.

had a set on mine, the soft compound on the rear is to narrow and when it wears you get a nasty step from the harder compound to the soft one, could feel it a lot when you tipped in. also crap over cats eyes. couldn't wait to get them off in the end.

got dunlop 212 on now, about a billion times better than the michelin.

Ive had Dunlop Sportsmarts and they are really good , last well and good grip but most tyres are good nowadays , got Pirelli Corsa's on the V4 and they were really good on my last trackday , got 3000 miles out of the rear ...... just !!

Battlax T30's ran them on my 2003 RSV and will be putting them on the V4 when I need to change, over 5k out of a rear superb tyre can not praise them highly enough.

If I have to keep putting the Corsa's on I'll have to sell the bike. Not even lasting a riding season will make them cost prohibitive. If the Metzlers don't square off as easily (I do some straight highway going to work) I"m going with them after the winter.

M7RR's on my V4.

I've had them on for around 750 miles now and they look scrubbed in rather than worn.

I would be getting ready to replace the stock Pirelli rear very soon if I was still running them.

Very happy with the Metzelers.

Try the Angel GT's mucker, I had the ST's on twice and was delighted with them but the newer GT's are better imo.

The majority of my riding is on wet or damp, cold tarmac and I trust them.

At the end of the day it's horses for courses and you can't fault what your confident with.

Battlax T30 will be worth a look if your doing commuting, or maybe the older 023's ran both and are the tyres that give me the most confidence out of all the manufacturers.

T30

I'm going to guess if you're doing track days you're going to want a pair of the Corsas around?

Ive never done track days but done some very spirited riding, and never had an issue.

Angle GT's eh? What kind of mileage do you get out of them?

Don't know about the GT's but I got over 6 thou miles from the rear ST's, both sets of rears were through to the wire when they came off, I like to get my monies worth.

Robbie, I've got 023's on ma blade and I don't like them one bit.

Probably different on the T though.
