Hello everyone,

My name is Gus, and I'm from Wisconsin. I'm 24 years old and all done with school, so I figured it's an appropriate time to start riding again. I know, a little late considering it'll pretty much start snowing tomorrow :T. I picked up an 04 RSV Tuono just a few days ago and am in love with it already. It just turned 19k miles, and has only one visible scratch on one of the tank decals. I briefly owned a Kawasaki EX-500 a few years ago, so this is quite the jump up as far as power goes. My riding experience is limited, but I'm already fairly comfortable on it. It feels very well built and is much more solid at highway speeds than my little 500.

I found this bike through Craigslist while selling my car. I had several trade offers for CBR's, GSXR's, and whatnot but the Tuono really caught my attention. I wanted something different. After some research I decided to take the plunge and go for it.

I look forward to becoming a part of this community and bugging you all with many questions. I'll try to limit the dumb ones, but forgive me if I get models, terminology, etc mixed up :)

Welcome gus,

Most Tuono riders tend to be older and have come from years of riding race reps.

It's good to see a few people doing it the other way, I wish I had one 25 years ago, but I would still been at school.

Hello Yank ... you'll get plenty of good advice in here mate ... but for **** sake ... I hope you have thick skin :)

Thanks everyone! And yes, I have very thick skin. Came from a Subaru forum full of the biggest A-holes I've met on the internet, but I got out before they transformed me :T. Do your worst!

In regards to the riders being older, I should be thanking you all. I got a fast bike and pay next to nothing for insurance! I quoted out some 600's that were easily 3x more expensive.

Welcome gus, good choice of bike mucker. Better real world bike than sport bikes, good to see a young un thinking oot the box

Wish I was 24
