Hi gang!
I'm new to this site. I'm over in the USA, more specifically in South Carolina.
I've been a member of AF1's Aprilia Forum for a few years now.
I have an '01 RSV1000R that I am restoring and an '03 Tuono that I bought late last year.
The Tuono is very nice. Not an R model or Factory. But it did come with Ohlins fork internals sprung very close to my weight. An Ohlins rear shock with remote preload adjuster and Dymag CF wheels.
I had an '03 Mille that I loved but was totaled in a low side (lost the front end).
I'm 52 years old and have been riding bikes since I was 8. I lived in Southern California for many years and after a 4 year stint in the USAF I moved to South Carolina.
I'm married with 6 kids (now all out of the nest thank god!).
But still have some college bills as 2 of them are still in college.
Besides the 2 Aprilia's I have a Kawasaki ZX-14 and a Honda ST1300. I believe it's called a Pan over there. Maybe a Pan American?
My wife rides and has a YZF600R and Ninja 250 that I'm dying to stuff an RD400 engine into. Plus we have a Yamaha Virago 750 cruiser that nobody claims.
Anyway, I'd like to say that I'm not here for parts but that'd be a lie.
Since most of you seem to be in the UK it would be hard to line up group rides.
I have bought parts from members of this site before. They were cross overs to the Aprilia Forum over here in the US.
I'm an IT professional (MCSE) and work for a local government (sort of like semi-retirement).
Thanks and have a great day!
Jack
