I have now polished it and cleaned up/lubed the chain as it was covered in *****.

Took her for a quick spin last week before all the rain I can confirm it is a torque monster!!

Barely took it out of 3rd and just rode the massive torque and engine braking while I got used to the power and handling etc.

Brakes caught me out once as they are so good I nearly locked them over some bumps (might not have been that bad but they are fookin good).

Smashed my bollocks into the tank over a crest I normally jump by shutting off over the top!

Even had a little scratch on my favourite wirly-go-round.

Best colour in my opinion but maybe i'm biased :biggrin I've owned the 02 and 03 and I reckon the 02's the kiddy.
Shame the forks and rims are so dull on the base model but some strategically placed rim tape and decals will sort that!

Indeed, need to loose the massive can to make room in my garage!!!
already started the mods, wire is already cut on ECU, I purchased the 98-01 inlet rubber for the airbox, fitted a K&N in there and made sure the restrictive bung was gone, the standard can has already had the baffle bit removed.
Next on the list is the collector link pipe mod, I am a TIG welder so this will be done ASAP then need a can.
Already got a 44T rear sprocket, not checked the front one yet to see if it is 16T or 17T.

Yeah I would check it as I ordered one and the went to fit and realised it was already a 16t!
School boy error ! Infact mine is for sale if you want it ?

Welcome mate, I too bought myself a RSVR on Thursday ) I have to say im a bit disappointed with the performance, So will have to get the sprockets sorted, Where do I get a 44T rear and which front is it I need a 17T??? Cheers

I have 16:44. Have a look at www.gearingcommander.com to see the effect of different ratios.

How5er 17/42 is stock. But i run stock and have always been impressed with the pull and power delivery on the bike especailly coming from IL4's.


Is the bike still restricted??
