Hi all. After 40 years of riding BMs and at the age of 62 I decided to buy a Caponord 1200. So far three weeks on and I am very impressed. I am off to Whitby on the Bank Holiday week so will find out how good it is.
Cheers all Richard.

Welcome to the fold, Whitby is not far from me and I often get up there. Then Scarborough, Bridlington and back as a round trip.

Enjoy, check out the AF1 forum as there is a lot more action on there.

G'day BMW k1red......just remember Capo likes it's owners to read the destruction manual before messing about - it has that electrickery stuff that can be damaged by an unsuspecting new owner (read, Italian booby traps). Otherwise it is just another bike that rewards a good owner with a great ride.

Be sure to slip over to the main forum (2014-2016) as this one was originally for the 2013 model and might not contain the photos and technical info gained by owners over the 3+ years since it's release.

If you can't live with any throttle jerking (until the motor fully loosens up at about 12,000kms) then have look on the Aprilia.com. website for the Lambda emulator - it is supposed to trick the ECU at low rpm throttle and give a smooth ride.

(Gabro Racing has developed an ECU flash re-tune for Capo's equipped with the rear exhaust resonator and the 'made for Capo' Arrow muffler (c/w ExUp valve).....that would be brilliant as they have done a huge amount of dyno work to get the re-flash tune-up perfect.....unlike the standard Aprilia ECU tune....).

Cheers from Aus:D
