Aight, when I picked up my Tuono, it was shod w/ Dunlop D208's that had 5k on em and were showing belts. Off to the tire store I go. I've been a huge Michelin fan since trying the Pilot Sports several years ago. The Pilot Powers simply made me smile bigger than the Sport's did so a Michelin Man I became. An obvious choice for tires would have been the Powers but.... NOT SO FAST!!!!!! I've been into the sport touring world the last few years and I have hauled some serious azz on ST bikes shod w/ touring tires. And they last ALOT longer. I've always wanted to try out the Conti Attack's because of good feed back by riders on all sorts of bikes and they look cool. Yes, I actually consider that when selecting a tire. LOL I dialed up the folks at www.powersportsuperstore.com (No affiliation other than happy customer) and ordered up a set of Road Attacks. Delivered today and installed today. Other than a big gouge on my front rim from the install all went well and was pretty uneventful other than the grunge on the chain. During my test ride all was going well when I got rained on. Badly. Consequently I learned they work very well in the wet. Will report impressions later if anyone is interested. And yes, they look KICK A$$ on the Tuono!!!:thumbup

cheers Towie

:thumbup I've been running avon storms and for the type of riding I do they give more grip than any supersport rubber I've tried. Really good in the wet too.

After destroying a Pilot Power rear through excessive commuting (Last ride was a loop out to Broadford and back to watch a mate race - the steel belts were showing!) I've installed a Pilot Road 2. After only a couple of commutes (I never learn!) they seem fine for the basic stuff. I'll be interested to hear how the Contis go as a mate of mine has them on his Brutale and doesn't like them much.

I`m in need of another set of hoops and am seriously considering the Avon Storms,Have read they stick like sh#t,should give good mileage? and aren`t too pricey. Anyone out there tried them on their T or any previous bikes??

Mine came with conti sport attacks, happily they died after 1200 miles, perhaps because they were made of wood with as much feel and grip. Now fitted with pilot power 2ct, WOW what a difference good grip , feel , faster steering and I have it on good authority they should last @4000 miles
I know tyres are all personal choice , but these seem to be the best of both worlds with grip and good mileage.
Will definately replace them with more of the same.

Tires ...i think... are a very personal choice I have Pirelli Diablo Rosso's on mine which i really like .. the side grip is more than enough fer me to get the T over far enough to get me knee on the deck... they are great in the wet as well and so far i've 5,000 odd miles on em.
But they suit my style of riding, you may put em on and hate em!
