Hello, I have just bought the above bike (dont have it yet, only paid a deposit so far)
Been to see the bike yesterday, and could not find anything obviously wrong with it appart from
small ding in the swingarm. These are apparently very common, the can digs in to the SA when the bike falls. the size of the dent is quite small compared with other examples i could find on t'internet. Bike is described as a cat D so I dont have a problem with this.
Funny thing, is when I asked the seller about it, he tod me that was normal and that the ding was there by design. Since he checked another bike and found the same ding...
There is a Diag 1 showing on startup, internet says its a TPS reading and that 1 or 0 are both fine. It also fits in with the seller's argument saying he has balanced the Throttle bodies lately and that idle will still need adjsuting as the bike's not been ridden properly since.
Its starts nice (engine was stone cold when I got there), no funny noises, smoke, nothing.
Clutch, brakes, headstock, shock and forks, I'll need to check once the bike is paid, insured and I can ride it.
Body work is rough around the edges, but not more so than described, actually the description was on the severe side.
So I am now hoping I can find the time to go back to the seller next week end, pay the remainder annd ride off.
Just need to find out about the chain adjustement process so I can turn up there, adjust and ride straight to the MOT centre. The chain seems ok, not particularly clean, but still greasy and no rust to be seen.
Also need to find out about the Dunlop sportmax that are on on it now, anybody here rates these?
Once MOT'ed and taxed, the bike will then go to this chap for a dyno test to make sure all is well.

So all in all, I am very much looking forward to my first big twin experience.
Thank you for the ressources I have found here so far which have enabled me to go and take the plunge!
