Hey mate..

Never seen a T with handguards...
... although im still gettin more nuts with new the new tuono each day...

welcome!

Thanks! I use these to keep the cold off the hands. They make a difference for that purpose, but wouldn't count on them for a hard hit. They were not expensive. Running the Tuono off road, my hands would be the least of my concerns. Also, since they don't wrap around to the bar end, they work well with my CRG lane split mirrors and RinoMoto bar weights slotted for the mirror clamps. Very trick. Hope the weather is breaking your way . . .

Hi there,

Welcome to the Zone, your bike looks cool!

I like your handguards too, where did you get them and how much do they cost? Were they easy to fit?

Hey there, RBD!

I got the handguards from MotorcycleSuperstore and they cost apprx. $36.00 (26.51 EUR/23.67 GBP). They were very easy to install; just needed to drill out & cut a little bit of their mounting arm (plastic) to clear the screw end and lock nut of the Brembo levers (no noticible weakening of the support). This allowed me to snug them up a little closer to where my hands usually reside (when not scratching my crotch & picking my nose). Here is the link: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/9/192/7269/ITEM/Acerbis-Uniko-Handguards.aspx Note: don't order the mounting brackets separately as the guards come with everything you need. Also, the back side has a white strip that supports the forward lettering. You may want to airbrush the backside to match the shield and cover this.
Recently, I had someone drop my bike as a break-in aide (can't live in fear of creating that first scratch). The break lever got bent (replaced with a CRG shorty) and the right guard got scratched. I'm a cheap bugger, so I've commenced to sand out the scratches with great success. I'm in the process of polishing all out with rubbing and polishing compound. Looks like it'll be back like new. But, in the transition, I've run into some cool evenings and noticed a difference on the unprotected hand, so my nasty fingers on the left hand stay warm and bug free. So, RBD, hope this helps, and save some Moffat tarmac for the rest of us to enjoy. P.S. REALLY nice toys posted in your photo album!
