2003 rsv with 15 k on the clocks £1600 loving it at the moment only done 40 miles on but what a 40 miles :inlove
Couple of lil problems tho. Bloke i bought it off met me halfway and on his way down the seat cowl flew off (getting me a replacement apparently) couple of seat unit bolts missing and brake lights wont light up when front brake applied brake light switch maybe? anyway im vince and i live in south wales.

Welcome Vince. Lovely bike mate.. shame to hear about the seat cowl. Few on eBay atm...

The brake switch might be stuck.. if not check the wires.. if it is the switch they are pretty cheap.

First v twin?

I am hopefully picking my first up this side of Christmas but due to finances and the weather are looking like it will be January. Mines a 2002 rsvr.

Good price for an 03!

yeh my first twin bit different to what im used to. normally 600 il4 last bikes were an gsxr 600 1998 and an old fzr 600. yeh weather is ***** but get bikes cheaper now :) cant wait until weekend so can have a proper look always dark after work now :-(

It has the Titanium evo exhaust same as mine love the sound of it.

The plastics are off a 2000 model except the mesh side covers, the undertray is missing too maybe thats why its such a good price,
i would check to see if it has the single rider subframe or the 2up before taking a pillion the single stops just behind the riders seat, where the two-up continues back to the brake light.

Perhaps the microswitch in the master brake cylinder has gone just touch the brake lever and you should hear it clicking like a computer keyboard key.

I came from IL4's too, v-twins do take some getting used too, especially the engine braking and just the size of these beasts, but once you get into to it you will love it!

Am sure griff or tash can sort you out with anything you need!

Welcome to the forum vince, as Paul said the plastics are from an early model rsv not an 03, looks clean though.

Anything I can help with just give me a shout

Tash

Welcome mate, you wont go far wrong with Mark can't recommend him enough buddy.

Enjoy your ride, I'm still grinning from getting mine.

Scotty.

Thanks for the replies guys. sorted the brake light problem the wire was cut :dunno and as for the plastics dunno the story behind that but looks good imo. just cant wait for some nice dry roads

Well they are the best plastics imo but then i am biased :)

Be interesting to know if he changed the subframe too though.

In case you didnt know the early R models only came with a single seat, to go 2 up you had to change the subframe (which i have done to mine) and add the foot hangers. Your bike hasnt got the hangers on so i wonder if he has changed the subframe as well as the plastics...

I know it says "R" on the fairing, but this is a standard Mille (with swapped plastics) isn't it? So should have the dual sub frame anyhow. Or am I wrong?
Regardless, it is schaweeet dude, proper bargain I reckon. :thumbup

Greetings dudester, I'm (hopefully) just about to get my first Mille myself. :biggrin
Looking forward to getting to know Griff and Tash as I'll probably be fleeing to their abodes within a few weeks "Is this exhaust supposed to rattle windows and set car alarms off?" ;).

Just sold my 01 RSV and bought an 02. Came from japper IL4's and would never go back. Welcome to the club!! :thumbup
