Hi All,

Just brought a 2005 Tuono Factory, well back in November.
First Aprilia i have owned and absolutely love it, i have had quite a few big twin 4 strokes, this has to be one of the best.

Just had my first 2 decent dry days of weather since i picked it up and having a blast.

Are there any do's and dont's for owning one of these, only found one so far, dont let the fuel run down too low!!! haha

Cheers

Lee

Tuboy, your right about the grin factor. cannot wait for some real decent weather, twitchy bum factor at the moment with all the wet roads.
But saying that, i cannot leave it in the garage at weekends

Oops, gb.lh hope you did not do 2 much damage

DO ride the piss out of her giggling in an insane manner.

DON'T hesitate to come and show us pics of your adventures or ask for help... We love these bikes and are ALWAYS happy to help out.

Good on ya mate. Have fun, welcome, and we'll see you in the future.

Welcome, Pinny.

Do's and Dont's?

1. Do tell it who's boss when it's out of its cage.

2. Don't, whatever you do, drop it on yer driveway in front of an admiring audience without first having fitted crash bobbins - gb.lh can advise of the subsequent damage and cost :bawling

Enjoy it!!

I won't say what bike I've got Pinny as Aldo will go mad if I mention it one more time but they're great bikes. Had a few issues starting mine 2 weeks ago but thats cos I left the choke on since its been parked up for months and the bloody thing was probably flooded. Did what everyone says and put choke off wound throttle back fully and pressed starter. Few coughs but it started ok in the end.

PS I've got mates live in Coalville I visit regularly. Unfortunately I have to take the car due to the family but some of the roads I've been on up there seem very good biking wise

Already plumbed that one in rusty76,

Do you ever get out to 6 hills in the summer ? or over the queen vic in coalville .

Glad you got it sorted,

Some of the roads are, same as anywhere just got to watch out for the idiots.

Do's. Make sure it's been derestricted & is on Map 2. Check the sprockets - 16/44 is a good combo on the Tuoldo.
Nice to's. Fit an Airbox - sound loverly, PCII or modded chip will help it go better.
Dont bother with a 190/50 rear tyre, costs more, turns in slower and doesn't grip any better than a 180/55 :)

Batfastard, is there really any benefits to fitting an airbox?
To tell you the truth I aint got a clue what my bike does and doesnae have as I bought it 2nd hand. I know it's running a 180 and I know its got a Racing chip in and the racing titanium exhaust (not road legal so changing it before spring)

Two of us locally then, mine just doesn't go at the moment, picked the old girl up on Saturday then it hasn't run since.
