Evening all

Bought a 2003 Mille R in a rather fetching yellow last weekend. Not ridden it much yet due to a mix of time, weather and the fact it has only done 70 miles in the last 3 years so I think a thorough checking over and fluid changes are in order before anything else.

Regards.

Welcome Woody, there's loads of advice on this forum, but fluids are a must, obviously.
I use my gen 1 as a track bike, with an after market pipe and a Dr Rossi chip it runs fine and smooth @119 BHP. I have not had to do any other work to it (and it has 33,000 miles on the clock) RSVs are a great bike.

Enjoy your bike !

Cheers for the welcome.

3 points. Got it. Not got round to oil just yet. Still trawling the "best oil" threads ha ha.

Miff, mine will be road bike only. Too shiny to put on track. It has 12500 on the clock and was owned by an older gentleman who, bless him, had back and knee issues so just couldn't take it anymore. In the 6 or 7 years he owned it he only put 700 miles on. Besides...If I go on track I'll be goaded into a race and bin it ha ha.

Don't really have any plans for it tbh. Sort the well known little issues and leave it at that. Maybe change the tail to an 02 spec as I think it is a nicer shape. That'll do for the moment. Until a cheap twin pipe set up appear at least. :)
