Hi All,

Recently became the owner of an RSVR 2003 and loving the bike. Coming from a Gixer its so much more what i wanted in a sports bike and slowly getting used to the addictive vtwin torque and excellent handling!

A few teathing probs though..........:

1. I need some fresh tyres...whats the best option?

2. More serious!.....Was out today for a blap with my mate and hit a big pothole/manhole cover but only doing about 40ish, was a big thud though and then something didn't feel right with the brakes. got home to inspect and found the right brake caliper was loose:eek:......has anyone else had this ? and have i potentially damaged the disc/pads by braking after the caliper being loose. It seems easy to re-tighten the bolts?????

3. The steering seems to have no maximum lock.....? i.e. damages the tank if put on max lock, is this normal or are their some stoppers missing?

Cheers,

J

Hi
If you only ride in the dry IMHO you cant beat Pireli diablo supercorsa BSB
After you tightened the caliper do you get any vibration when you brake, if not all proberbly OK. I assume the caliper can be tightened properly & the threads arn't stripped.
These are the yoke stops, an allen bolt in a recessed ali plug.

tyres are a personal choice

i use them cheap old maxxiss supersports they work for me at £140 fitted

tighten up caliper bolts and try a slow ride out ,tey the brakes..i doubt if anything has happened to them

lock stops..take off the front nose cone to have a proper look...may have been down the road and damaged them???

Many thanks for the advice!!!!!

Yep, the bolts are missing...........whats the best way of getting some replacements?

Aprilia must sell them or an alternate quick fix you could use half a dozen washers & an allen bolt each side.
