I have just picked up a 2003 Mille with a noisy sprag clutch. I have ordered the sprag, outer housing, gear and gasket ready for next weekend.
I have a couple of questions about the bike.
I think part of the reason for the sprag is a **** battery, Dynavolt DTX12BS 10Ah 160CCA. I'm thinking a Yuasa or Varta TTZ 14S 11Ah 230 CCA or Motobatt MBYZ 16H 16Ah 240 CCA would be more suitable.
To improve reliability I will fit the FH20RR reg/rec with the correct (Japanese) connectors, 150A or bigger solenoid and 25 sq mm battery, starter and earth cables
Is the tail section and pillion seat the same as the Tuono? It looks similar (my seat is mismatched)
I want to give the engine every chance to breath whilst keeping the mods "discrete" so I am thinking early style airbox intake, remove restrictor, K&N or foam filter. Then at the other end remove the baffle from the silencer inlet and the redratbike collector mods. Any thoughts?
Forza 200 chip and / or Power commander?
