Hi All
Firstly what a great site, a wealth of info!! Already got some great ideas of what I need to do/get, I just bought a black 2000 Mille R and I am hooked......my first ever vtwin and I love it. Im servicing it this week etc but appears to have warped front discs, I have tried freeing up the buttons but no great improvements, pads etc all fine but my question is exactly what other models discs will fit??? I know they are 320mm Brembo but im confused about the offset bit????? I dont really have the cash to buy brabd new so im afraid its Ebay but it seems some sellers don't have a clue!! Many thanks in advance and hope to chat to you soon.:thumbup

Hi wobbly.....

Understand the cash strapped bit but discs are something you need to be very careful about......bike discs are not like those big f-off thick car discs that can take more of a battering, but more fragile and prone to warping as you well know....

Flea bay is a bit of a pig in poke as you might be shelling out money for discs that are already fcuked or about to go the same way as the ones you have at present....here in France it is illegal to sell second hand brake components (as far as registered businesses are concerned - garages and breakers etc.). Best try to find the money to buy some new ones, pattern discs are probably cheaper than OM......

The offset is the distance out from the wheel hub to the disc - it has to be the correct measure so that the disc passes centrally through the caliper and hence between the pads, but don't ask me what it is for your model 'cos I don't have a clue - sorry :dunno It might be in all the manuals and tech stuff that are here on the site

You can buy Aprilia discs from any year of RSV and they will fit.

any offset change for Radial brakes was achieved by wheel spacing so they are all the same.

Hi and welcome to the nut house, first thing with any bike is good tyres and good brakes these are what keeps you on the bike.

Welcome.. :bigfinger

Buy new brakes discs dude... and pads. Or you might not get to post into double figures. :biggrin

You could get your old disc's scimmed, does work as long as theres enought meat on them.
But the disc's will worp again,
How long will they last. ????????? hopefully long enough to by new ones.
Buy secondhand brembo's and they may do the same thing.

I got these
http://www.ferodobraketech.com/sportbikes/AXIS-Iron-Rotors.php

Cheaper than new brembo's and way better feel and more grab.

look better too:thumbup

Also for which ones fit ?
Look at new disc listing's and compare rotor manufacturer's part no's.
Some ducati disc's are the same.
