Hi guys, just saying hello :thumbup

Currently ride a CBR600FY, but actively looking at swapping to a RSV and was looking for some advice. I've never ridden a Twin before but love the look and sound of them.

Went to see this on Friday

Excellent condition with good service history. Gaffer said he'll service it before selling too and I could have it for £2700 which is right on my budget.

Might take a look at this one too, which one do you think

In the middle of stripping my bike and giving it a thorough clean. Should be up for sale next week

Hi sprocker and welcome, i too have recently moved to the RSVs only a few weeks ago and i just had to have one after the first test ride :thumbup.
The second bike looks like its had loads of stuff put on and if i was you i personally would go for that one :thumbup, its the same model as mine but with more goodies :pirate.

Enjoy the site m8.

Welcome Sprocker ! I don't have an RSV yet either, but hopefully will soon after I sell my Raptor :)

:cheers

Its a VTWIN thing .. Sprocker :thumbup, Just take it out for a run and you will understand why we love the mille :hail

Alright mate, welcome...the 'R' is probably the one to go for as it's got the factory trick bits on it, lighter wheels, better forks/suspension and appears by the advert to have been well looked after....BUT whatever your decision is you won't regret it....just don't expect it to ride like the CBR, much lower rev ceiling, but will pull from nothing and keep going and going and going....plus it may not seem that fast (hold on I have a good point here) which is where these beauties are deceptive. Chugging along at 30/40mph you think...check out the speedo it'll more than likely be showing 80/90mph...they do it with so much ease that familiar routes will be blitzed in almost half the time you could ride 'em on the CBR.....Go on you know it makes sense!!!

Cheers for the replies peeps :thumbup

The second one does look rather tempting although I havent seen it but I'm going to ring up tomorrow. Do you think it will still be ok if he's been using it on track ? or are they strong enough to take whatevers thrown at them :dunno

Mate welcome, as long as it has been looked after it should be okay,, that is what they were built for to be thrown around. Mine has been on the track a few times and is going on Cadwell on the 17th Nov. Good luck with the purchase, once you get on you will not want to get off:thumbup

Greetings sproker,Hmmmm black one for me #2...but whichever rsv ya go for i am sure you wont regret it...:thumbup

Well my CBR's going in autotrader tomorrow guys woohoo....:woohoo

Twin heaven is getting closer....:wheelie

went to see one tonight from a lad selling on e-bay. If I'd had the cash from mine I would have been bidding on it :devious
