Hi everyone,
Would just like to say hi and let you know I have had my 2005 tuono 1000 r 2 months and love it.
I washed it Friday and took it out this evening and have run I to an issue.
She cutting out on me:-(
Runs in 1st at 4k revs but keeps dying as soon as I change to second?
I used buckets of water to clean it, could this be an issue?
Any help appreciated
Cheers.

Hi Dame & welcome.

Your post is in the "classified" section. So unless you and your bike are for sale (!) you may be best reposting this in the correct "forum" section.

Would need more info to help suss your problem.

Will it pull up above 4k in 1st?

If not, sound like water shorting out the high tension (Spark).

If it does, but stalls immediately when you change gear is a bit weird!

But if it lacks enough power to pull in second, this again points to water shorting the HT when under load.

Wipe any water off your HT leads, including around caps, and spray with WD before reconnecting plug caps.

Ps: Are you really a Dame?

Hi Paul,
Lol I was starting to wonder if I had done something silly whilst posting my question!
Many thanks for replying and showing me my error.
Thanks also for the Info, some friends ha e also suggested water ingresion.
It no longer gets to 4k in 1st so the problem seems to be getting worse.
I will take a look at the leads to ight and keep you posted.
I have booked it I to a mechanics Tuesday, which even if I find the leads with water are the issue I may just get him to give it the once over too.
Many thanks again.
Damion. (Not a dame lol, although some may disagree [emoji16] )
