Hey there, i just bought a 2016 Tuono 1100rr. There were 4 here in Wellington to choose from, and i settled on a shop demo with 500ks on it.
Absolutely love it. Had the first 1000k service with an update to apparently stop the problem with the dash going blank, which it did on my second ride.
Now i just need some warmer gloves or heated grips, so i can keep riding through our NZ winter.

I love (love/hate mostly) my Gen1, especially now that I've got the few niggles sorted over the past 1.5yrs of ownership. The only thing that spoils it, is one guy after another, coming onto this forum, almost weekly, with a V4R. I think that should be stopped for the sake of us Tuoldos!! ;). Well, OK, so maybe we'll get one too, when we've managed to tire of the old beast... eventually :thumbup

Hey Paul (or are you going to shock us and say your 'Paula'?! :D ), welcome to the mad house mate! Great bike... and I'm not jealous at all :bawling

Don't forget the compulsory 'pic' when you get a mo!

10L Kriega tail pack, with a spare clear visor, as its very cold and going to get dark in the next couple of hours.

Nice bike and great country to ride it in!

I suspect s few more members will be along to welcome you shortly... but it's 24 to 34C the past few days, so we're all sizzling in the sun at the moment, here in the UK!

With such a great bike and scenery to boot, we've got to make you jealous of us somehow! :thumbup

Cheers for that, yes it is technically the middle of winter here, but i have been doing 200k+ runs every weekend since i got the bike. there is a 4-5 hour opportunity to get out after the roads dry a bit from the previous nights frost, before it turns dark and cold(er). The rural spot in the photo is an hour from Wellington, so a perfect distance for this time of year.
On the last run i cracked 2000km, so raised the gear change indicator to 10k rpm. Holy ****, not going to use those revs too much on our roads as everything gets blurry real fast.
Disengaged the AWC as i found the result a bit harsh, albeit effective. Really want to try the launch control next time out.
Enjoy your summer, stay safe.
