Looking forward to picking up my Factory this week. Just sold my '12 CBR 1000 RR (Fireblade to the rest of the world) and still have a Yamaha FJ-09. Loved the CBR, but found the ergos tiring - I'm about to be 67. Hope to enjoy the Tuono and this forum.

Greetings & welcome to the forum.
I had a blade many years ago, 954 engine, nice bike, but a tad bland compared to the ape.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. The Factory is a 2016. My FJ-09 is a '15. Just took a look at the weather forecast for this week and it is at least 4 out of 5 days of rain! Bummer! (The dealer is about 50 miles away and through one of the worst traffic areas.

Pick your day to collect wisely or get it delivered. Had mine delivered last Wednesday still waiting for a good forecast to risk the first ride.

Pick-up is scheduled for tomorrow. Forecast is sketchy, but I'm inclined to get the bike as long as there are windows of non rain. We'll see.

Picked it up today. Went by train, actually two trains, but worked out well and the Factory! THE FACTORY!!! Ride home was surprisingly easy traffic wise and the bike is a dream. Suspension soaks up the horrible bumps and potholes common to the New York area after winter (actually anytime) and the power smooth and abundant even though I kept it in Sport Mode with the various adjustments set high to save my *** in what could have been horrible traffic on a bike that is new to me. Pics attached. Try not to drool excessively on your computers. (Sorry if I sound like a 17 year old with his first bike.)Tuono Factory1.jpgTuono Factory2.jpg

Welcome & enjoy the bike from Sydney Australia. Sold my MT-07 for my 2016 TuonoRR.

If the mileage on the Tuono improves, so that I can take it on longer rides with my local riding club, I may sell the FJ-09, as I really prefer riding the Tuono. We'll see. What is your range for a tank of fuel?
