Hello, My name is Eric
I recently picked up my first Ape- and I am really excited to finally be a Aprilia owner
and I am really happy to be on a site with TONS of experienced owners that I can learn things from and share what little knowledge I have about twins and my vast
knowledge on other ****
Anyways.. Picked up a older RSV... With practialy everything you could do to the motor already done and surprisingly with 19K miles never been dropped once.
Custom Paint, Alot of parts and this and thats from a newer "R" including - suspension, tank, wheels and stuff like that..
Right after purchasing - She went on the operating table- To ensure everything was good.. And saved my life- I didn't check the Sprocket nuts.. They were very LOOSE.
Yes it's a GSX-R Rearend..
Looking forward to conversing, sharing stories and learning
-Eric
Oh forgot to mention a cpl things.. She's going straight to the track..
She has a Small 6k HID light that is easily "taped" (It only turns on when you hit the High beams)... The Brake light is on a "EASY PULL" disconnect.. and she came with plates to cover up the mirrors.. so I just need to dial in the suspension for my weight, take off my plate, put on some slicks.. and hit the track.. The 17th will be here first track day.. Then I will assess the suspension and see what I need to change from there
Oh and lastly.. Frank..
I used to live in Alaska.. About 2 years ago- A friend of mine that Owned a RSV.. He loved his to death.. His name was Frank- He was german. He had to have been from this site.. Passed away - He was on his RSV - broke his neck off a "On RAMP" on the mille.... I don't know if any of yall knew him, I assume some did.. HE was a GREAT friend of mine.. I knew him personally, road with him alot and I miss him alot.. Being on a RSV now makes me think of him every time I get on it.. If any of yall knew him from here just wanted to state that Im from alaska and I knew him too..
Thats all
