Looking to get a new lid
ARAI VIPER GT THUNDER £429 notes on eblooking ay and helmet city they are £315 £319 been told by a company that these are not genuine lids and are grey imports first iv heard of this any one know best place to buy
 
I use Helmet City all the time and can vouch for them, a few of us have used them, in fact Im looking to buy another lid from them at the London Bike show.....call them and speak to a guy named Graham...he is the owner....top guy, give them my name they might even add 10% on top of the price.....i mean off the price.:devious
 
i've wandered why some arai's are cheaper on some sites too and researched it while back. Arai lids are officially bought into the UK by 'phonix distribution'. if helmet city ain't bought through phoenix, means any warranty claims won't be dealt with by arai uk (phoenix) thats how i understood it anyway (2nd hand info). don't know if this helps or no. I bought an arai condor including black visor delivered for 300 notes incl delivery but can get it even cheaper now. comfy as hell

Helmet City use Phonix, they also sent my RX7 back to Arai for a helthcheck after I crashed my MV, I think they do very well online and at the shows...they can afford to give a great service and price.

Our Local HGericke advised us that J&S buy direct from Japan etc and therefore dont have EMEA Warranty....

i got my viper gt 3 years ago, picked it up for £250.

It is a genuine arai but it doesn't have all the serial numbers on the inside that a properly imported one has. Still managed to get the free service at the arai stand at one of the shows, they didn't really bother to check it.

Looking to replace it soon with the new quantum V which i think will eventually replace the viper, just want to try one on and make sure its the same kinda fit as cause the viper is the most comfortable helmet I've ever tried on (I find it even more comfortable than the rx7 for some reason)

checked out their site....unbelievable deals. clearance Chaser-£250!
 
It all comes down to the number of units they buy, the more they buy the cheeper they can sell them on for, when I worked on the clothing and helmet side of things I delt with helmet city several times the stuff they sell is genuine its just that they buy in large volums a bit like george whites.:)
