New lever problem

Fitted new levers to my 08 RSV1000R (Brembo) last night.
They fitted nicely, but there are some issues.
On the clutch side, the lever locating pin needed a little persuasion to go through the lever and the action is now very notchy.
On the brake side, the lever isn't springing back enough to make the brake light go off.
I have two questions:

1/ Should I grease the locating pins?
2/ Should I try slackening the lever pins and bottom bolts a little? (I did them quite tight, using an Allen key and spanner, not a ratchet)

Basically, although looking and feeling nice, the levers just don't move as freely as the standard ones.:angry

Are these the pins that are Allen bolts that thread into the master cylinders then have a lock nut the other side? If so some wet and dry to remove rust and he'll yes they need grease. It's only a metal bush in the lever rotating on that metal pin. It should be smooth.

Yes, that's the fellas.
No rust on the pins, and the interesting thing is the standard levers move fine.
I think the machining on the new levers must just be a little tight.
I'll try greasing them.
