Hi everyone.
I'm certain someone will be able to give me some idea.
I need a new (spare) key for my '06 RSV1000R. How much would a new, genuine key cost from an official Aprilia dealer (I have the original key code). Also, I'd guess the new key would be supplied milled/cut and coded for the immobiliser.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Well, you won't be able to get one unless they're willing to give you some customer service. Whereabouts are you, in case I can be a bit more helpful?

you can buy blanks from AF1, shipped over from USA, few local key cutters can cope, but it can be done, 3mm milling tip and a will to succeed. then any key place can clone your transponder iirc.

Hi Skullface.
You can buy blank chipped keys from any Aprilia dealer or parts supplier, around £30-35.
I have also taken my original key to several key specialists and the general consensus is that they could cut/mill a blank key for me and possibly supply me with a cloned/programmed chip (that I would need to glue/tape/fit to the key) but are unable (or possibly unwilling) programme the key chip.
Thanks for your help anyway.

I know that genuiune blank, chipped Aprilia keys are readily available.
Maybe my original question(s) weren't clear enough.
My questions:
1. Is it possible to contact an official Aprilia dealer, give them the five digit code supplied with my original Zadi keys and be supplied with a new pre-cut/milled and (immobiliser) programmed key?
2. If "yes", how much (approximately) would a new key cost?

As long as you have 1 programmed key still u can use it to program a blank without special tools etc just a blue re code key which u can buy from a dealer (or use theirs). You only need the code pre programmed if you have no keys at all or a dealer with a red master key that will allow erasing of the immob ecu memory so a new key code can be programmed into it.

i am assuming you have 1 key still so all you need is a cut blank, blue key and the process to program the new one to match. it takes 10 mins so can't believe a dealer would charge much to use their key.
