New guy with an EPROM question

Hi all just bought my rsvr last weekend after wanting one since 2004! It's an 03 radial caliper model with the titanium racing exhaust everything else is standard.

My question is this the seller told me with the chip fitted the fuel pump wouldn't prime so he left it out and didn't include it with the sale. I've asked of he can find it and send it but what could be the problem?

Just answered on rsvr.net. Think he was missing the decryption board. Got to have one for the original Ti chip. Symptoms are what he describes if you don't install correctly. Could be Ti chip is just f*cked.

Unfortunately I can't help you and this is off topic but how the hell do people keep their bikes so new looking??
I've seen quite a few pics of bikes on here some of which are almost 10 years old like this example and there's not a blemish on them.
The nose fairing and head light don't appear to have a single stone chip....

This one has been looked after very well and only did 56miles between 2008 and 2010 then 4k dry miles only and it shows

Don't be a tease! Been a few nice 2003 RSVRs on here recently for about £3K

static can kill a eprom or they just fail dr rossi or a gabro chip will do well if the chip you have now does not feel right oh and welcome to the forum + if you paid less than £3,000 for a 03 -r i hate you and will not give you anymore help!!!!!!
