Hello all.
I have just got myself an 02 registered Mille in hot red although I believe it’s a 2000 bike.
Bought from a dealer in York with 16k on the clock and got delivered to me in Hertfordshire in the snow, looking at the previous MOT history the mileage looks genuine and it looks to have been stood for a good while in the last year.
I have ridden it a handful of times and she seems pretty sweet although I have noticed a fairly comprehensive amount of oil on the engine after taking off the fairings. Wet looking fresh oil along with older grungy stuff, annoying but I am hoping it’s just crankcase gaskets. The stator side appears to be the worst culprit and I am hoping that it’s where the stator cabling pokes through. I’ll replace the gaskets and have a look. Although it looks like the R/H has a leak also...(most of the bolts weren’t torqued up to the correct settings though).
It’s due an oil change as I think the level is low and the clutch drags when it’s cold.
Hope to pick your collective brains in the coming months with inevitable grief.
Cheers
Al
