New Flying Dutchman!

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and a little bit illegal  (cause next week i officially own one) but I have a little question for you guys....
Today i did 2 testdrives on the 2003-model. One black, one silver.
The first thing i saw was that the rev-meter only touches the 6000rpm while other
Mille's do the complete range when you turn on the ignition. Is that normal for a '03?
And what's the second orange warninglight above (that one besides the fuelwarning)?? And maybe you can tell me where to look out for on that modell? What I've read was that the '03 is the best "first" Mille. Mine is totally standard (besides the black screen) but maybe you can learn me more about it.
Thanks!!!! ;)

Gr Alex from Holland

Orange light is sidestand warning - i.e telling you the sidestand is down. (Put it in gear with the sidestand down and the engine will cut out).

The default start position for rev warning is 6000 - most people have it set for higher. It's easy to set higher via the dashboard buttons. When you disconnedct the battery, the rev warning always resets to it's default position of 6000.
