Hi all,

I made a deposit on the bike mentioned on another post, a 2006 Tuono 1000R with 10k miles on the clock

The bike was an absolute bargain!! however it had some issues which I hope are not too problematic to solve.

  1. The service light is on the guy said they can be reset using the service manual and a code within.... however the bike comes with only a few basic documents which doesn't include the service manual.
  2. There is one key is it possible to get a new key programmed to the bike.
Any advice you guys can provide will be appreciated.

Somewhere I have a pdf copy of the manual, but for the life of me I can't find it, sorry, I would think that you'd need an Aprilia dealer for the key, but I can't see an issue if you have 1 key and the title

cheers, I managed to track it down useful link below

Hi,

Thanks, yes I managed to track down the service reset code. I have entered it selected cancel service light option. Pressed yes to complete and the system gives me a confirmation message.

When I start the engine the light comes back on? Is this showing a problem?

I also read the codes with no ECU erros but the Dash errors had two memory codes. One on DSB 01 and the othe ron DSB 02

Any ideas on either of these two?

DSB 01 - Immobilizer failure: key code read but not recognised.
DSB 02 - Immobilizer failure: key code not read (key not present or transponder not working)

If I was you..... I would clear those codes down and see if they come back....

But.... if you are in the UK ring Griff at Aprilia Performance:

I'm sure he will point you in the right direction....

Thanks that’s very useful!!

I have reset the codes and ridden her several times and they have not come back on so I assume is all good.

I do have another problem now following a visit to Aprilia and they have read my codes explaininGaby the service light will not reset. I will start a new thread for that though
