Hi, went out for my first proper ride out yesterday a good blast down the Helmsly TT and back home via Pickering and Flyingdales. First impressions are WHAT A BIKE wish I'd got one years ago the engine, handling and riding position are just right and the noise (blue flame can) is addictive
The brake are also as good as any bike I've had the only thing is when braking from a highish speed on the initial bite it feels as if the discs are slightly warped as there is a definite judder, this is not noticeable at low speeds, I have to take it back to the dealers midweek for them to investigate.

The slight judder you feel through the brake lever is more than likely caused by the brake disc buttons being seized. It's a common problem on RSV's. Just clean them out with a little brake cleaner and a tiny squirt of WD40 (remember to clean it off thoroughly though) and rotate the buttons with your thumb and forefinger

Buttons ?? any chance of a picture of what these are and were !??

:thumbup thanks !

Gasboy, they're the round discs/pins that appear between the smaller axle, mounting part of the disc and the actual braking part of the disc itself. I've put a yellow line next to one of them in the picture.

The 9 round buttons or bobbins that hold the disc to its gold coloured carrier.

Thanks I'll give this a try.

They are floating discs so you should be able to feel slight side to side movement when you pinch the disc and give it a gentle wobble. You can also hear them when you roll the bike back and forwards with the engine off. If not then the above suggestions are probably correct. Can be caused by the wet and long periods of storage. If not this I would check front and rear wheel bearings next.:eatcorn
