New Bike Due - Advice On Exhausts Wanted

Hi All

As of 13 days from now i will be joining the ranks of you fellow Aprilia Owners. Im getting a RSV R 1000 - 09 Plate and wanted to get your advice on new exhausts.

I know Akrapovic are the most popular and recomended mod but what have other people tried - Pictures if possible - Im tempted by stubbies and underseat so wanna hear your opinions.

Mine came ready fitted with a pair of MIVV titanium cans, fairly load with the baffles in, very rude with them out.

I liked the old-school look of Arrows & went with carbon as there was too much silver on my '7.5...
Saved weight & stopped cooking my feet with the catalytic converters. With the silencers in, they sound about the same as stock. With the silencers out, they sound outstanding, but you won't make any friends in the neighbourhood...

Carbon Akrapovic or Arrow cans look just so right on Aprilia bikes. These would be my choice

Depends what u wanna spend ,, got Delkevics £199 a pair fitted , at D&K where i bought my 09 from:- sound awesome,,, put Akra stickers on over delkevic ,, they also do stubbys too ,, rhodeseeker has em on :-

+1 but my delkevics are the titanium ones 250 quid

Go for Remus Great burbling sound and just antisocial with the baffles out :inlove

The remus look nice and i have had remus cans before, good build quality and nice sound but that was on a 4cyl.

I had carbon akras on a full system on my first rsv and they were stunning. My current one has titanium akras on it and they look and sound stunning. I've always been an Akra fan due to the build quality and sound, plus they don't invalidate the aprillia warranty.

I also like the arrows as they are very good build quality and sound.

There are so many to choose from mate its a mine field really. :dunno Go for the ones you like the style of best as most are built pretty well built these days. A friend of mine went through about 4 microns on his 2nd gen mille as the engine pulses kept disentegrating the insides. V twin power pulses are a lot higher than 4cyls. Not so much of a problem on the new shape as there are two cans to take the abuse:thumbup
