Hey guys, this has kinda been asked before I know but I only just picked up the bike today! I've already got akra slip ons waiting at home I realise you have to get the map02 sorted etc but would it damage the bike if I ran it a bit with out doing this? I've got a window where I can can get em fitted but then wil have to wait a while to get the map soted?

i would avoid that mate i think it can make it run really bad fueling wise i have read on here somewhere that you need to get it done asap after cans fitted . not sure if you can run em with baffles in though . somebody on here will ;-)

pm killaprilla on here think his bike was that way when he bought it and the fueling was all over the place cutting out etc etc

not worth the risk imo time will come mate be patient and just ride without ear plugs :devious

Map 1 assumes there is a catalytic convertor present and will use the Lamda sensor to run the bike as lean as poss.

Not good if you have a race can and a lean mixture together for anything other than a potter down to you dealer/shops.

Certainly spanking it up your fav road would be asking for trouble.
